The third season of Banshee opens with the town still reeling from the violent chaos left in the wake of Rabbit’s demise. Sheriff Lucas Hood, an ex-convict living under a stolen identity, continues his uneasy alliance with Kai Proctor, the town’s formidable Amish-turned-crime boss. Their fragile peace is soon shattered by the arrival of a brutal and calculated new enemy, Chayton Littlestone, a militant leader of a Native American gang seeking vengeance for past injustices.
Chayton’s campaign of terror escalates rapidly, targeting both the town and its law enforcement directly. His brutality pushes Hood and his deputies, including Brock and Siobhan, to their absolute limits. The season delivers one of its most devastating blows when Deputy Siobhan Kelly, a moral anchor for Hood, is tragically killed by Chayton during a tense confrontation. Her death sends Hood spiraling into a dark and obsessive quest for vengeance, further blurring the lines between lawman and outlaw.
Meanwhile, Kai Proctor faces threats to his own empire from multiple directions. His nephew, Burton, his loyal and deadly enforcer, begins to subtly question his own place after a traumatic encounter. Proctor also clashes with a wealthy and politically connected militia leader, Colonel Douglas Stowe, over a lucrative military contract, drawing the attention of the FBI. This federal scrutiny, led by Agent Robert Phillips, threatens to expose the secrets of everyone in Banshee, Hood’s true identity most of all.
The season races toward a relentless two-part finale. Hood and his team launch an all-out assault on Chayton’s compound in the woods, culminating in a vicious, cathartic, and final hand-to-hand battle between Hood and Chayton. Almost simultaneously, Proctor’s war with Stowe comes to a head in a shocking and bloody shootout at the city morgue. While these immediate threats are eliminated, the season closes on a ominous note. Agent Phillips, having survived the carnage, successfully uncovers the truth about Lucas Hood’s real name, setting the stage for an entirely new kind of danger in the season to come.
