Friends is an American television comedy developed by David Crane and Marta Kauffman that aired on NBC for 10 seasons, from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. The show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, follows six friends in their 20s and early 30s living in Manhattan, New York City. The initial executive producers were Kevin S. Bright, Kauffman, and Crane.
During November and December 1993, Kauffman and Crane began creating Friends under the working title Insomnia Cafe. They submitted the idea to Bright, and they collaborated on a seven-page program outline for NBC.
After multiple screenplay rewrites and title changes, including Six of One and Friends Like Us, the series was eventually titled Friends. The filming took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions and Warner Bros. Television co-produced the series.
Friends – Season 7 – Summary
The seventh season focuses on Monica and Chandler as they plan their wedding among a variety of challenges. Joey’s TV program, Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E., is canceled, but he is given his former job on Days of Our Lives; the show is retconned with the reveal that Dr. Drake Ramoray has been in a four-year coma and is resurrected with a brain transplant from another character. Rachel now lives permanently at Joey’s because Phoebe’s rebuilt apartment has just one huge bedroom instead of the original two.
Rachel gets promoted to Ralph Lauren and recruits a young assistant, Tag Jones (Eddie Cahill), based only on his appearance, bypassing a more qualified woman. Tag realizes she has emotions for him over Thanksgiving dinner, and they start dating while keeping it from coworkers.
However, on her 30th birthday, Rachel stops their relationship because she realizes Tag is too young and immature, especially if she wishes to follow her marriage timeline.
Chandler panics and hides hours before Monica and Chandler’s wedding ceremony, just as Phoebe and Rachel discover a positive pregnancy test in Monica and Chandler’s bathroom. They presume Monica is pregnant.
Ross and Phoebe track down Chandler and persuade him to return for the ceremony, however he flees again after overhearing Phoebe and Rachel discussing the pregnancy result. He swiftly returns, relishing the concept of parenthood. Monica denies being pregnant during the ceremony; nevertheless, everyone is unaware that the positive pregnancy test is Rachel’s.
