In the 2022 South Korean television series One Dollar Lawyer, Namkoong Min, Kim Ji-eun, Choi Dae-hoon, Lee Deok-hwa, and Park Jin-woo all appear. Choi Su-jin and Choi Chang-hwan’s script for it took home the top honour at the 2015 SBS script Contest.
From September 23 to November 11, 2022, 12 segments of it were broadcast on SBS TV on Fridays and Saturdays at 22:00 (KST). Disney+ in some areas also offers live access to it.
The show tells the tale of a lawyer with the finest credentials who only costs 1000 won for legal services.
Cheon Ji-Hun (Namkoong Min) is a barrister with a distinct personality. His hair is styled in a fashionable perm. He only costs 1,000 won (approximately $1 USD) for his services, but he is one of the most experienced lawyers in the area. He goes up against the most expensive attorneys and their wealthy customers who attempt to skirt the law.
After finishing from the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Baek Ma-Ri (Kim Ji-Eun) serves as a prosecutor’s aide. She is self-assured and has a strong self-esteem.
Her grandpa, Baek Hyun-Mu (Lee Deok-Hwa), established the renowned Baek Law Firm and serves as a lawyer there. Baek Ma-Ri’s life is going well, but everything changes when she encounters Cheon Ji-Hun.
